ONLINE THERAPY FOR

TOXIC PERFECTIONISM

FOR ADULTS IN MINNESOTA

YOU’RE TIRED OF FIGHTING YOURSELF.

Despite having it all together externally, you never feel good enough or deserving of your accomplishments. Rather than celebrating your achievements, you find yourself focusing on everything you would’ve, could’ve, or should’ve done better.

The thought of failure or of letting others down is paralyzing. You frequently procrastinate on tasks due to fear of not completing them “well enough” or even perfectly. Your inner critic is relentless and you find yourself often craving approval from others.

Giving up control of situations is terrifying for you. You find yourself holding others to impossibly high standards, and feel frustrated when mistakes are made. Usually, you’d just rather do things yourself than trust someone else to take care of it.

You are determined to show the world you are capable, strong, and don’t need anyone’s help, but you’re exhausted from feeling as if you’re treading water all the time.

You’re probably here because you want to harness the good parts of your perfectionistic traits, while letting go of the parts that cost you your well-being.

Shift from surviving to thriving.

You see, perfectionism isn’t inherently bad - in fact, its probably helped you become the high-achieving individual you are today. At the same time, perfectionism is likely something you've acquired in service of emotional survival in your life. In other words: it has WORKED for you, and has kept you feeling safe and in control.

But you were made for more than just survival. You were made to THRIVE, and it's my job to help you understand how to let go of the extra baggage so that you can actually ENJOY your life.

Often, perfectionism prevents you from “seeing the forest for the trees.” Therapy can help you step back and get a big picture look at what is or isn’t your responsibility, take accountability for what is within your realm of responsibility, and to let go of what is not.  Decision making will start to become less daunting when we get a better hold on what is truly important to you versus getting caught up on what “should” or “could” be.

Together, we will use evidence-based strategies to re-calibrate your barometer for success, identify the “whys” behind your perfectionism, get your inner critic in check, and create a meaningful life without all the stress.
